Joachim L. Schultze

Joachim L. Schultze is Scientific Director at the German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE) and Founding Director of the PRECISE Platform for Single-Cell Genomics and Epigenomics. Trained as an immunologist, Joachim L. Schultze is an expert in macrophage biology and works at the interface between immunology, genomics, and computational sciences. With his team, he was the first to apply memory-driven computing and Swarm Learning to medical research. His vision is to foster brain health through a comprehensive approach to understanding, preventing, and treating neurodegenerative diseases
