Jeffrey Kopstein

Jeffrey Kopstein is Dean’s Professor of Political Science at the University of California Irvine.  He has published widely on democracy and dictatorship, political violence, and anti-liberal tendencies in civil society.  His latest book is The Assault on the State: How the Global Attack on Modern Government Endangers our Future (2024). His popular writing has appeared in The Washington Post, The Atlantic, and The Globe and Mail.
