Jane Coombs

Jane Coombs is New Zealand’s Ambassador to Germany since May 2026. She also has accreditations to Switzerland, the Czech Republic and Lichtenstein.
Jane has previously served as Ambassador in Paris (2017-22) and Seoul (2005-08) and as Deputy Head of Mission in Washington (2009-12). She has also had postings in New York, Moscow and Canberra. She has held several Divisional Manager roles in Wellington - North Asia Division, Americas Division and most recently as Divisional Manager of the Pacific Polynesia and French Pacific Division. Jane speaks French and is currently learning German.
