Harrieth G. Mtae

Dr. Harrieth G. Mtae is a Senior Lecturer at The Open University of Tanzania with a PhD in Population Studies and an MA Rural Development. She previously served as Director of Research, Publications and Innovation and has held leadership roles as Head of Department and Innovation and Enterprises Coordinator. She supervise and mentor postgraduate students. Her research and publications focuses on community empowerment, population studies, tourism, cultural astronomy, astrotourism encouraging international collaboration. She also serves as Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority Board Member.
