Görkem Otlu

Raised in the industrial landscape of İskenderun, Görkem’s early exposure to environmental challenges shaped his dedication to sustainable engineering. A Mechanical Engineering student at METU, he specialises in renewable energy and industrial decarbonisation under the guidance of Prof. Derek K. Baker. Driven by a mission to address ecological crises, he combines technical expertise with environmental advocacy to develop innovative solutions, with a particular focus on tackling oceanic plastic pollution.
