Gerard de Melo

Gerard de Melo is a professor for AI at Hasso Plattner Institute / University of Potsdam. Previously, he was an assistant professor at Rutgers University (NJ, USA) and Tsinghua University (Beijing), a post-doc at ICSI/UC Berkeley, and a doctoral scholar at the Max Planck Institute for Informatics.

His research has been covered by the Wall Street Journal, Reuters, etc., and received several academic best paper awards. He also serves as the General Chair for the annual AI@HPI Conference in Potsdam and is an ELLIS Fellow.
