Frederick Fenter

Fred Fenter is Chief Executive Editor of Frontiers, a Swiss OA publisher. With a PhD in chemistry from Harvard (1990), he transitioned from atmospheric science to scientific publishing, joining Elsevier in 1997. Fred founded a publishing tech start-up and worked with EPFL Press. At Frontiers he oversees one of the largest editorial boards in scientific publishing, and leads innovative editorial projects like the Policy Labs, Frontiers for Young Minds, Frontiers in Science or the Frontiers Forum.
