Frank Nürnberg

Dr. Frank Nuernberg studied laser plasma physics at TU Darmstadt, Germany, and earned his PhD in collaboration with Berkeley Labs, CA, US. He contributed to international experiments an laser fusion physics before joining Heraeus Quarzglas in 2012, focusing on fused silica for optical applications. Since 2021, he leads the global optics sales team and supports major fusion projects like NIF and LMJ. He is also involved in the BMFTR PriFUSIO project to advance optical materials for the commercial laser fusion approach.
