Eric Zimmerman

Managing a major endowment fund, with an annual disbursement of multi million Euro in research grants, and an international staff, the position at GIF has allowed Eric to develop and strengthen the long-term bi-national relations between Germany and Israel. Previously, his position at IDC Herzliya allowed him to grow the internationalization efforts and develop the grantsmanship program at an entrepreneurial research university; and design effective and efficient workflow processes for the academic administration of a 21st century university. A native New Yorker, he moved to Israel in 1988 where he and his wife have raised a family of five children. They currently have seven grandchildren to four married children.
