Eric Vermetten

Eric Vermetten is a psychiatrist and researcher at Leiden University Medical Center. Bridging neuroscience, clinical care, and humanitarian work, he explores new ways to heal the invisible wounds of trauma. He chairs the Global Traumatic Stress Network, leads the Trauma Innovations Network, and co-founded the NGO Platform for the Regulation of MDMA in Clinical Care. His work spans mental and spiritual health in Ukraine, with NATO, the UN, and the EU - redefining human resilience and recovery in psychiatry.
