Dr. Edna Costa

Edna Costa is an Assistant Professor in Political Science and an integrated researcher at the Political Science Research Unit, at University of Minho, where she currently teaches Political Participation, Interest Groups and Political Marketing. She holds a PhD in Political Science from NOVA-FCSH (2018) on “Reconciling Work and Family: Inequalities and Capabilities in Iberia”. She has participated in several research projects on varieties of democracy in Southern Europe, political recruitment, the political participation of youth and the political control of the bureaucracy. Her research interests focus on representation and political participation from a gender perspective and, additionally, the civic engagement of youth.
