Prof. David Harel is a professor of computer science at the Weizmann Institute of Science and is currently the President of the Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities. Published widely in theoretical & applied computer science, he won ACM Outstanding Educator Award, Israel Prize, ACM Software System Award, Emet Prize & IEEE Harlan Mills Award. Holds six honorary degrees, member of Academia Europaea, US National Academy of Sciences, US National Academy of Engineering, American Academy of Arts & Sciences, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and a Fellow of the Royal Society
