Daniel Jutras

Daniel Jutras is Rector (Principal) of the Université de Montréal, a role he has held since 2020. An internationally renowned legal scholar specializing in comparative law, civil procedure and class actions, he previously served as Dean of the Faculty of Law at McGill University from 2010 to 2016 and as executive legal officer to Chief Justice Beverley McLachlin of the Supreme Court of Canada. He was appointed an Officer of the Order of Canada in 2019.
