Caroline Montojo is President and CEO of the Dana Foundation, a philanthropic organization in New York City focused on advancing neuroscience and its connections with ethics, law, policy, humanities, and social sciences. She leads the Foundation’s mission to support neuroscience that benefits society and reflects the needs and aspirations of diverse communities.

She previously served as Director of Life Sciences and Director of Brain Initiatives at The Kavli Foundation, working on major neuroscience initiatives including the U.S. BRAIN Initiative and the International Brain Initiative. Dr. Montojo holds a Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins University, completed postdoctoral research at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley. She has also served on multiple advisory and leadership bodies, including the Science Philanthropy Alliance, the Council on Foreign Relations, and the NIH BRAIN Initiative Neuroethics Working Group.
