Prof. Blade Nzimande is South Africa’s Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, a position he has held since July 2024. Previously Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology from 2019 to 2024, he has served in the national cabinet since 2009 and is National Chairperson of the South African Communist Party.
