Avriel C. Epps

Dr. Avriel Epps (she/they), a Civic Science Postdoctoral Fellow at Cornell University’s CATLab, holds a Ph.D. in Human Development and an S.M. in Data Science from Harvard. Her research explores algorithmic bias and identity development across racial and gender lines. As co-founder of AI4Abolition, Avriel builds collective power through open-source tools and AI literacy in marginalized communities. She is the author of the forthcoming “A Kids Book About AI Bias.”
