Ásta Valdimarsdóttir

Asta Valdimarsdóttir is State Secretary at Iceland’s Ministry of Health, leading national healthcare and public health policy at a time of rapid transformation. Her work spans digital health, health-system resilience, equitable access and crisis preparedness, including Iceland’s COVID-19 response. She also contributes to international health governance as Vice Chair of the Standing Committee of the WHO Regional Committee for Europe. Previously, she spent nine years at WIPO, where she led international programmes and multicultural teams.
