Annette Julius

Dr. Annette Julius has served as Secretary General of the German Academic Scholarship Foundation (Studienstiftung) since 2012. Previously, she held senior positions at the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), including Director of the Berlin office and Head of Strategic Planning. She also served as a program officer at the Cusanuswerk. A scholar of Russian literature, Julius earned her doctorate from the University of Cologne and studied Russian, English, and German in Cologne, Dundee, and Moscow. She serves on the boards of the DAAD, the Free University of Berlin, the Tönissteiner Kreis, and the University College Freiburg, and is a member of the University Council of Heidelberg University.
