Ana Simón Chica

Ana Simon Chica is a biomedical engineer with a deep passion for innovation in cardiac health. In her bachelor thesis she developed computational models to represent the electrophysiological variability between patients with atrial fibrillation. Ana recently completed her PhD at the Spanish National Centre for Cardiovascular Research where she is exploring the role of non-myocytes in a highly translational porcine model of atrial fibrillation. She also loves to engage in science communication.
