Alexander Betts is Professor of Forced Migration and International Affairs at the University of Oxford, where he also serves as the University's Local and Global Engagement Officer. His research focuses the political economy of refugee protection, particularly in Africa. His book The Wealth of Refugees won the ENMISA distinguished book award. Named a top-100 global thinker by Foreign Policy, he has delivered TED talks viewed by 5 million people. Betts co-founded the Oxford SDG Impact Lab and the Refugee-Led Research Hub.
