Alexa Zytnick

Alexa Zytnick grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania before pursuing her undergraduate studies in chemical biology at Vanderbilt University. She is currently a PhD candidate at the University of California, Berkeley, where she works on engineering plant associated bacteria for the recovery of critical metals from electronic waste. When she is not in the lab she enjoys baking, reading, and spending time with her cat, Curie.
