Alberto Pascual

Alberto Enrique Pascual Quiróz is Director of Fundación CoMunidad and a sustainability practitioner. He holds a Master’s degree from the UNESCO Interdisciplinary Chair in Sustainable Development. His work advances climate resilience, Nature-based Solutions, and science-community collaboration. He has contributed to projects with UNDRR, CATHALAC, and the City College of New York. His work has been featured by FAO and Ritsumeikan University, and he is a member of IPBES.

Resilient Watershed is a community-led climate initiative in Panama’s Santa María Watershed. It combines climate science, local knowledge and participatory planning to co-create Nature-based Solutions for restoration, water security, and disaster risk reduction. By engaging citizens through workshops, resilience assessments, agroforestry, and mangrove restoration, the project supports ecosystems, livelihoods, and watershed governance as a scalable resilience model.
