Adam F. Falk is President of the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation. Previously, he served as President of Williams College and as Dean of Arts and Sciences and Professor of Physics at the Johns Hopkins University. A theoretical high-energy physicist, Falk earned his doctorate at Harvard University and a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of North Carolina. He is an elected Member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, a Fellow of the American Physical Society, an Honorary Fellow of Exeter College, Oxford University,  and a trustee of Mount Holyoke College, the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics, and the Scholars at Risk Network.
