David Ruau is an experienced executive in the life science industry. David is leading strategic scientific partnership in Healthcare & Life Science across EMEA at NVIDIA. Prior to that David held different positions as CSO at a healthcare AI company, VP of Global Data Assets & Decision Science at Bayer and Head of Scientific Computing at AstraZeneca. David academic background is in computational biology of stem cell reprogramming and analytic of EHR in different therapeutic areas. David authored 30+ peer-reviewed publications and book chapters in journals like Nature, Cell, Stem Cells…

Prof. Dr. Johan Trygg is Head of Advanced Data Analytics, Corporate Research in Sartorius where he leads the global teams on predictive modeling, AI and biology simulations to simplify and accelerate therapeutic development to unlock the potential of digitalization across biologics discovery, development and manufacturing. He is also full professor of chemometrics at Umeå University, Sweden and visiting professor in Systems Medicine at Imperial College London, UK.

Mariette DiChristina

Mariette DiChristina, Jury Chair 2021-2022, Future Learning

Mariette DiChristina is Dean and Professor of the Practice in Journalism at the College of Communication (COM) at Boston University, her alma mater (’86). Formerly, she was Executive Vice President, Magazines, at Springer Nature, leading the award-winning global teams at the journal Nature’s magazine, Nature Research’s Community & Partnership Editorial and Publishing groups, and Scientific American, for which she served as editor in chief for 10 years.
She is a member of the National Academies of Science, Engineering, and Medicines Climate Crossroads advisory group and on the Society for Science board. She is a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science and past president of the National Association of Science Writers in the U.S. as well as Science Writers in New York.

As president and CEO of Foresight Institute, Allison directs the AI, nano, bio, neuro, space seminars, fellowships, prizes, and tech trees. She co-edited Superintelligence: Coordination & Strategy, and co-authored Gaming the Future. She founded Foresight’s AI safety grant program, Existentialhope.com, and co-initiated The Longevity Prize. She advises organizations and projects, such as Cosmica, and The Roots of Progress Fellowship, and is on the Executive Committee of the Biomarker Consortium. She holds an MS in Philosophy & Policy from the London School of Economics, focusing on AI Safety.

Monika Lessl is the Executive Director of the Bayer Foundation and Senior VP at Bayer AG, responsible for Corporate R&D and Social Innovation, as well as global societal engagement. She has been an initiator of Bayer`s Bioethics council and her passion is to drive innovation and societal transformation for a sustainable future. She is a Non-Executive Board member of Marienhaus GmbH and Futurium, and is engaged with several boards such as the Board of Trustees of the GIZ and the VCI. Monika holds a PhD in Biochemistry and a Diploma in General Management from Ashridge Business School, London. She has been ranked as “Top100 women in Innovation” by Handelsblatt in 2021.
