Prof. Dr. Dr. Thomas Schildhauer studied computer science at the Technische Universität Berlin (TU) and holds PhDs in the field of software marketing, information management and public health. As computer scientist, marketing expert, internet researcher he works as university professor for Electronic Business at the University of the Arts (UdK), Berlin. He is Chairman of the board of trustees of the Institute of Electronic Business e.V. (IEB), research director of the Alexander von Humboldt Institute for Internet and Society, Principal Investigator of the BMBF-funded Weizenbaum Institute - The German Internet Institute and also co-founded the Digital Urban Center for Aging & Health (DUCAH). In this context he focusses on the questions: How could digital health innovations be successful and human centered implemented for social services? What kind of open innovation method would help most to form and empower joined teams from social services, digital health solution providers and researchers.
