Mazhar Ali

Mazhar Ali is an Associate Professor in the Department of Quantum Nanoscience of the Faculty of Applied Sciences at TU Delft (Delft University of Technology) and is also part of the Kavli Institute of Nanoscience at Delft (KIND). He did his Bachelor’s degrees in Physics and Chemistry at UC Berkeley, his PhD in Chemistry and Materials at Princeton and his post-doc at IBM-Almaden before becoming the Humboldt Sofia Kovalevskaya group leader at the Max Planck Institute for Microstructure Physics in Germany and then moving to TU Delft. He also served as Chief Scientist His of Ketos Inc., a water quality and intelligence company, and currently serves as Chief Scientific Officer of Material Mind Inc., a materials intelligence start-up company. Currently, Ali's research group in focuses on the 3Q's: Quantum Materials, Quantum Properties, and Quantum Devices, fabricating and exploring magnetic and electronic properties for both fundamental physics and next-gen technological applications.
