Kathryn has been the UK’s Country Director for trade and investment in Germany and Deputy Trade Commissioner for Europe since May 2022.
She has worked extensively on the UK’s trade policy and its engagement with the EU. Most recently, she was Deputy Director for Competitiveness and Dispute Resolution in the EU Secretariat in the UK Cabinet Office. During the negotiation of the Trade and Cooperation Agreement between the UK and the EU she was the Deputy Lead Negotiator for Goods in the UK Prime Minister’s Office.
Her experience spans trade in goods, services and digital, as well as EU state aid and consumer protection policy, with past roles in the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, Her Majesty’s Treasury, the Prime Minister’s Office, the Cabinet Office, and what was formerly the UK Representation to the EU in Brussels.
