Junker Lab

Janita Mintcheva, Anika Neuschulz, Nora Fresmann: PhD students We at the Junker lab study the intricate mechanisms underlying cellular decision making. Embryonic development, the generation of a whole organism from a single cell, proceeds with striking precision, even in the face of environmental perturbations. The zebrafish, our favourite model organism, can even react to injury during its adult life by regenerating tissues. We try to understand how these processes are regulated genetically in single cells.
