Irene Salinas Akhmadeeva

Born and raised in Mexico, Irene graduated from the National Autonomous University of Mexico with an Honours Degree in Environmental Sciences. Irene was part of the Reef Systems Lab at Autonomous University of Baja California Sur (UABCS). Reef monitoring and coral restoration technician, she worked at the world-famous Cabo Pulmo National Park and the San Cosme-Punta Coyote Corridor of fisheries refuge zones in the Gulf of California. She is now working toward her Master's degree in Marine Science at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology in Saudi Arabia.
