George Cowell

George oversees people and programmes for Rising Academy Network, a BCorp© that delivers a low-cost, high-quality education to more than 50,000 children across Sierra Leone, Liberia, and Ghana. George also leads on growth initiatives and partnerships at Rising. In 2020, Rising created the Rising On Air program which reached 12m children, in 12 languages across 25 countries. George is TeachFirst Alumnus, has a BA from the University of Exeter, MA from the Institute of Education, and is currently studying for an MBA at Warwick Business School.
