Gabriela Figueroa Miranda

Gabriela Figueroa Miranda received her doctoral degree in engineering at RWTH Aachen in 2021. Her doctoral thesis was on the “Development of Electrochemical Aptasensors for the Highly Sensitive, Selective, and Discriminatory Detection of Malaria Biomarkers." She received the prestigious Innovation Award in 2022 from North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany in the Innovation2Business category. Currently, she is pursuing her entrepreneurship interests in the transfer and validation of such biosensor technology with the help of a funding programme from the Federal Ministry of Education and Research in Germany.
