Carina Kanitz

Carina Kanitz is an experimental physicist working on matter wave optics – a technology that can be employed for precision experiments probing quantum mechanics and space-based sensors monitoring earth and surroundings. After studying Physics at the University of Erlangen, she conducted her master’s thesis at CERN. Currently she is a PhD student at the German Aerospace Center, Institute for Quantum Technologies, in Ulm. Carina is committed to inspire young students for STEM research, for instance by being involved in youth science competitions like Jugend forscht and science camps.
