Barbara Diehl

Barbara Diehl is an expert in entrepreneurship, innovation and education and has been in charge of partnerships with science and business at Germany's newly founded Agency for Disruptive Innovation (SPRIND) since December 2020. Before moving to SPRIND, she successfully worked 10 years in Great Britain and Ireland: at the Entrepreneurship Center at Oxford University (2008-2015) and the Innovation Academy at University College Dublin (UCD) (2015-2018). At Oxford she led early stage venture training programmes and was also a member of investment committees of various seed funds. At UCD's Innovation Academy she implemented a variety of applied entrepreneurship teching & training programmes aimed at fostering and developing an entrepreneurial mindset. Back in Germany, she was Director of Transfer and Innovation in the Helmholtz Association of German Research Centers, Germany's largest research organization (2018-2020). Barbara's particular strength: she can give researchers and scientists the confidence to develop and test their creative and entrepreneurial skills and support them in all the stages of transferring their research into application.
