Little Bang Discovery Club from Children’s Discovery

Australia (Botany)

The Little Bang Discovery Club is a science and discovery learning and empowerment initiative for children and their accompanying adults. It enhances the natural curiosity of children and their desire to take ownership in their own exploration of how the world works. Hosted in libraries (or similar community venue) and facilitated by librarians (or community staff) trained and equipped by us. Each of the four sessions builds on ideas and skills from the previous. Each child is loaned a Discovery Box of quality resources for the duration of the program (which may be taken home between weekly sessions). Ideas for continuing to learn and discover together with their adults and siblings at home or school are provided, as well as encouraging use of the library collection.
