ACTIVE SCIENCE PROGRAMS

ACTIVE SCIENCE PROGRAMS

“Active Science” aimes at low-achieving and at-risk youth in Israel in order to empower them through science. The program is geared towards 15-18 year olds who have dropped out of the formal educational system and suffer from domestic violence, drug problems, etc. Active Science provides a positive learning environment that exposes them to the world of science through hands-on activities. Key to the program’s success is its focus on connecting science to everyday life.

ACTIVITIES

25 meetings of 2 hours each. We are using interdisciplinary themes in weekly meetings. Each meeting is dedicated to a different topic in science such as pressure, stability, density etc. Each group is guided by two instructors and up to 20 students per group.
