Mélanie Joly

Mélanie Joly is Canada’s Minister of Industry, leading the Innovation, Science and Economic Development portfolio since May 2025. A lawyer and Liberal Member of Parliament for Ahuntsic-Cartierville since 2015, she previously served as Minister of Foreign Affairs from 2021 to 2025. She holds a law degree from the Université de Montréal and a Magister Juris from the University of Oxford.
