Felix Büchting

Felix Büchting is the CEO of KWS Group, a position he has held since January 2023. He is responsible for Research, Breeding, Global Human Resources, Farming, Group Strategy, and Corporate Office & Services.

He studied Agribiology at the University of Hohenheim and Agricultural Sciences and Molecular Biology at Oregon State University, where he also completed his doctorate in plant breeding. He began his career at KWS in 2005 as a trainee in maize in France, working across seed production, sales, and marketing. He later joined research and bioeconomy initiatives in Berlin and Jülich, before moving to Symrise AG in 2010, where he worked in product management and supply chain with responsibility for agricultural raw material sourcing for flavour production. He returned to KWS in 2016, later leading the cereals business unit, and joined the Executive Board in 2019.
