Daria Onitiu

Daria Onitiu is a postdoctoral researcher at the Hasso- Plattner Institute, University of Potsdam, as well as a Research Associate at the Oxford Internet Institute, University of Oxford. She previously worked at the Trustworthiness Auditing for AI project at the Oxford Internet Institute, as well as the UKRI Trustworthy Autonomous Systems Governance and Regulation Node at the University of Edinburgh. 

As a technology policy academic, she researches and publishes on the legal, ethical and governance aspects surrounding Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies, generative AI and deepfakes. She has a particular interest in the governance of AI software as a medical device, ethics of AI in health, as well as the real-world challenges on the responsible use, safety and security of Large Generative AI models.
