08 November 2022  //  Radialsystem Berlin

The Meet-Up of female talents in science at the Falling Walls Science Summit was one of the highlights during the International Fall Gathering. Established female leaders such as Susan-Stefanie Breitkopf, Member of the Executive Board of the ZEISS Group and Chief Transformation Officer spoke and inspired the young talents to new perspectives. Susan-Stefanie opened the Meet Up with an outstanding Keynote on the path towards a more diverse corporate culture and society. She shared personal experiences in industry, science and business, career paths and leadership positions.

“It was really rewarding to meet all of you and get your perspective on how innovative research can be enabled in the future. Among other topics, we talked about why research and innovation need a variety of different perspectives and backgrounds, and why at the ZEISS Group my colleagues and I are called upon to inspire young students pursuing a career in the STEM fields.”

– Susan-Stefanie Breitkopf, Chief Transformation Officer, ZEISS Group

RUTH MORGAN INTERVIEWEING LILIA MORITZ SCHWARCZ FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF SÃO PAULO

The World Café that followed was an opportunity for an intensive exchange of ideas and experiences between women leaders in science and business and the next generation of female visionaries.

The Meet Up was completed by an interview between Prof. Ruth Morgan and  Prof. Lilia Moritz Schwarcz from the University of São Paulo.  Lilia cleverly linked societal challenges on the career path of women with political circumstances in Brasil and opened up feministic ways of dealing with them.

The Female Science Talents Meet Up was co-realized by our partner ZEISS Group by supporting the event and inviting various leaders of the company to participate during our World Café.
