The expert discussion seeks to strengthen ties among leaders of African and European universities and research institutions. Amid global challenges, Africa-Europe collaboration in science and academia is vital, especially in fields requiring global perspectives and intercultural cooperation — such as climate change, health, renewable energies, sustainability, food security and peace studies. The meeting aims to spark new joint projects and connections, asking: What hinders joint research?
