Apple Pui Yi Chui: Breaking the Wall to Engage Schools in Coral Restoration| Falling Walls Engage

This award celebrates outstanding initiatives that engage the public with science in creative and impactful ways. On 7 November, during a live pitch competition, finalists will presented their projects to an expert jury, with the most innovative science engagement initiative being crowned the Science Breakthrough of the Year.

This year, Apple Pui Yi Chui received the main title for her project, “Breaking the Wall to Engage Schools in Coral Restoration”. The Coral Nursery Education Programme, launched in 2020 in partnership with the Hong Kong SAR Government, involves students in coral restoration by transforming schools into nurseries.
