Prof. Dr. Ulrich Beuers is a hepatologist and professor of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Amsterdam UMC (University of Amsterdam), where he chaired Hepatology from 2010 to 2023. His research centres on immune-mediated cholestatic liver diseases such as primary biliary cholangitis; he received the EASL Recognition Award in 2025.
