Tim Stearns

Tim Stearns is the Dean and Vice President of Education at The Rockefeller University, and Head of the Laboratory of Cellular Dynamics. Stearns's research in cell biology is on the structure and function of the centrosome and cilium, and how defects in these components cause human disease. He has taught in the US and internationally in Chile, Ghana, Tanzania and South Africa. Stearns advises the U.S. government on biodefense and biosecurity issues and is a member of the JASON advisory group.
