Sebastian Blatt

Sebastian Blatt is Co-Founder and CTO of planqc, founded in 2022 to build scalable and energy-efficient quantum computers based on neutral atoms in optical lattices. After a decade at Harvard and the University of Colorado, he founded his first research group at the Max Planck Institute for Quantum Optics in 2015 and later at LMU Munich. Renowned for his work on ultra-precise atomic clocks, he now drives planqc’s technological vision. In 2025, planqc won the German Founder Award.
