Rosa Ferré is the co-director of TBA21 Thyssen-Bornemisza Art Contemporary, an international art and advocacy foundation based in Madrid, Venice, and Port Antonio, Jamaica. Previosly she served as the artistic director of Matadero Madrid Centro de Creación Contemporánea (2018-2023) and was the director of exhibitions and cultural activities at the Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona (CCCB) from 2012 to 2018. At the CCCB, many of her exhibition projects explored the intersection of artistic and cultural creation, scientific research, and social innovation: “Big Bang Data” (2014), “More human. The future of our species” (2015) and ‘After the end of the world’ (2017) that addressed the climate crisis from art, speculative design, literature and research ". In Matadero Madrid among other interdisciplinar projects founded, in collaboration with ITD-Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, the Mutant Institute of Environmental Narratives.
