Pierluigi Freni

Pierluigi is an engineer-turned-entrepreneur and investor with a deep tech and venture capital background. At LIFTT, he identifies, negotiates, and manages investments while supporting portfolio companies. Previously, he was the founder and CEO of Sherlock Bike, a successfully acquired startup that developed a GPS-based anti-theft device for bicycles. As a Techstars mentor, he advises startups on strategy and growth. He holds a PhD in Materials Science and his mantra is: “ideas are cheap and abundant, execution is everything.”
