Petra Bahr

Petra Bahr has served as State Secretary at Germany’s Federal Ministry for Education, Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth since 2025. A theologian and expert in ethics, she previously served on the German Ethics Council (2020–2025), as Regional Bishop of the Evangelical-Lutheran Church of Hanover and as Head of Politics and Consulting at the Konrad Adenauer Foundation. Her work spans ethics, education, cultural policy and the relationship between religion, politics and society.
