PETER HOFMANN

Peter Hofmann studied Aerospace Engineering and Computer Science at Stuttgart University. After receiving his PhD in Computer Science at the University of Stuttgart, he worked with Daimler Benz AG in several positions. In 2003 he was made Professor of the Competence Center Electrical and Electronic Architecture at the Technische Universität Dresden. From 2005 to 2010 he worked as CTO for Bürkert Fluid Control Systems before he joined Festo, a global provider of automation technology systems, in 2010 as Vice President and Head of the Business Unit Process Automation. Since 2013, Prof. Hofmann is Senior Vice President Global Product Development at Festo and is responsible for Festo’s R&D activities worldwide.
