Prof. Dr. Oliver Zielinski is Scientific Director of the Helmholtz-Zentrum Hereon and a marine and technology researcher. He was appointed to the German Science Council (Wissenschaftsrat) in 2025 and has been an acatech member since 2021. He previously directed the Leibniz Institute for Baltic Sea Research Warnemünde.
