Mark Owen

Mark Owen works at Sartorius researching the application of image analysis, artificial intelligence and robotics to enable next-generation AI- and robotics-driven laboratory workflows. Mark holds a degree in Pharmacology and a PhD in Biotechnology from the University of Manchester. Post-PhD, he worked across the cell and gene therapy and cultivated meat sectors, concentrating on bioprocess analytics, bioprocess modelling, robotics and deep learning.
